Does it make me transgender if the idea of wearing boys clothes makes me happy?

(I am female). I once tried to tell my mom I might like wearing boys' clothes when i was around twelve and she looked at me like I was crazy. I feel really insecure about it now and I dont know what to do.

@Cia Hey and thanks for sharing. You are free to wear whatever clothes make you feel happy and comfortable. Some people will be transgender but equally there are many people who are gender non conforming, gender questioning, non binary or like to cross dress.

 

I can understand why this made you feel insecure but sometimes older generations have very fixed views about gender roles and expectations and stepping outside of these can make them feel uncomfortable.
