how do you know whether you are in a toxic friendship.

    Hey busylizzie

Great question. We like to think that no person is 'toxic' and more that sometimes certain people put into a situation, or relationship at a certain time is what is toxic. If you are often feeling put down, shunned, embarrassed, bullied or unappreciated, then you may be in a toxic friendship. This doesn't always mean you have to cut this friend off then and there but it may be worth having a conversation about how you are feeling. Openness and honesty is a key factor in any positive relationship.

We have a quiz that you can take! - https://www.ditchthelabel.org/really-friend-quiz/

Do you have a particular friendship in mind?

Hi, My name is Brittany. I recently lost a Korean friend. We have known each other for 8 years. After she met me first time in person, she told me she does not like my personality and we are no longer friends. It makes really sad and guilty because before she told me she will like me when she meets me and have fun with me. She cut me off like this makes me so sad and not even want to talk with me. She told me before she felt like I was her true friend. I dont care if my friends have different personalities. This is what makes us unique. I feel so bad and guilty like something is wrong with me. I dont know how to feel better about myself. She was so excited to meet me and stay with her at her house then when I came back home she sent this to me. I feel so bad she hates me.
