Confessions : How do I tell my best friend that I'm in love with him?

Hi! Sorry to bother anyone, but I'm just really confused. I have known this guy for about 2 years, and he is practically my best friend. Unfortunately, he's really popular, and incredibly kind to everyone:(. I can never tell if he likes me back or not. I would never want to do anything to ruin the friendship we have, but I also get uncomfortable anytime he's near me because he makes my heart race and I can't concentrate. Also, I'm best friends with his brother... I don't understand how to go about this?

 

In addition, I'm constantly sad and finding my flaws. I never believe that anyone could like me and constantly struggle with self-doubt. I also am pretty sure I'm bisexual, and my single mother curses any sexuality other than straight. She is livid anytime I bring up the topic. No one knows. Almost every second of every day, I struggle with all of these insecurities, and I don't know what to do. help?

Big welcome to our support community - I'm one of the support mentors here at DTL and I'm here for you . I get what you're saying about your friend - it's hard to tell if someone likes you when they are generally kind to everyone . I'm wondering, has anything happened which has made you feel like he may like you back? If so, maybe you could think about telling him how you're feeling?

 

Also, I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling low about yourself and that your mother curses any sexuality other than straight. How are you feeling about all of this? It must be a lot of weight to carry on your shoulders. Just remember that we are here for you now and we can help you through all of this.
