I’ve always known I wasn’t 100% straight, but my excuse was always that “sexuality is a spectrum, everyone is a little gay”. But now, I realize I am bisexual or pan sexual (I’m still not sure which) but I’m in a relationship with a longtime partner I plan on marrying. I’ve come out to him as bisexual and he basically just said “yeah i know remember when you said you’d f ruby rose?” (Lol) but my fear is coming out to my parents and family and having to answer the questions around my relationship. I don’t want them to think that it changes anything so a part of me even just doesn’t want to tell anyone else. Any advice would be appreciated. (Also i know my parents are very supportive of people in the LGBTQIA+ community so they would support me too)
    Heyyy natxx

Welcome to our support community - I'm one of the digital support mentors here at DTL

It's great to hear that you're close to understanding your sexuality fully and that your parents are very supportive. I'm wondering, what exactly is it that you fear about coming out? It is completely normal to feel this way, and even people who have supportive families and friends feel this way too. One bit of advice I will give is that you don't have to come out if you don't feel ready. This is your journey and you get to decide how it goes. What do you think?
